Ingredients


Makes: 36 cookies
  • 1/2 C (125 ml) icing sugar
  • 1/2 C (125 ml) butter
  • 1/2 C (125 ml) shortening
  • 1/2 tsp (2,5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 2 C (500 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp (2,5 ml) Sea Salt (Grinder)
  • 1 C (250 ml) coconut flakes, for rolling
  • Glaze:
  • 2 1/4 C (560 ml) icing sugar
  • 3 Tbsp (45 ml) hot water

Preparation


 
  • Preheat oven to 350º F (175º C).
  • Cream together icing sugar, butter, shortening, and vanilla extract.
  • Add flour and salt. Mix to form a smooth dough.
  • Roll into 1” (2.5 cm) balls and place on Sheet Pan lined with Bake & Roll. Bake 8-10 minutes.
  • Cool, coat with glaze, and roll in coconut. Let glaze dry thoroughly before storing in an airtight container.
