Giving Back

Access to real food. Simple cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition. The promise of a healthy meal tomorrow. These are basic necessities for every person, and the reason we established the Epicure Foundation™ in 2007.

Announcing the 2017 Epicure Foundation™ Grant Recipients

In Canada, about 13% of individuals and families, don’t have safe, good-quality, nutritious food. To help address this issue, the Epicure Foundation™ recently granted a $10,000 in-kind donation to 15 organizations across the country. These organizations are working at the grassroots level and creating change within their communities to not only feed children and their families, but to teach essential cooking skills.

Of these 15 organizations, five were chosen by our Community (through online voting) to receive an additional $20,000 grant for their food security initiatives. The Epicure Foundation is pleased to announce the following recipients: Weston Frontlines Centre (Toronto), Shelbourne Community Kitchen (Victoria), YMCA of Kingston, Hope Blooms (Halifax), and Campbell River Family Services Society.

“Children should never have to wonder where their next meal is coming from, and we are dedicated to helping change the lives of Canadian families.” - Amelia Warren
